This beautiful lake resort nestles amidst
seven hills in a lush valley at an altitude of 1938 metres. In 1841 the
british first discovered Naini Tal as holiday resort.Today ,Nainital has
become one of most important hill station in India.
Nainital is situated around Naini Lake, Naina Devi temple is situated at
Mallital ,other end of lake is called as Tallital , and both are connected
with Mall road.

Nearest airport is at Pantnagar (Dist. Udam Singh Nagar), 71km.
Nainital by Rail :
Connected by broad gauge trains with Delhi & Kolkatta, Kathgodam is the nearest
railhead 35km away. takes two hours to reach Nainital from Kathgodam, From Lalkaun(60km), trains are available for Agra & Lucknow. Reservation can be made at Nainital from Reservation Office,
Tallital. A special Shatabdi Express operates from Delhi to Kathgodam
every Friday & Sunday in summer from April to July.

Nainital is connected by good roads to all the major National & State
Highways. There is a regular half an hour service to Kathgodam. The deluxe
& ordinary services connect Delhi at regular intervals. Nainital is
290 Kms from Delhi via Kaladungi Road & 320 Kms via Haldwani road.

Naini Lake Nainital: The eye (Naina) shaped lake is named after goddess
Naina Devi,set amidst lush hills is said to be formed when the eye of
Goddess Sati fell here. The Naina Devi temple at the northern end of the
lake marks the exact spot where the eye of Sati is said to have fallen.
The gaily coloured yachts sail the waters of the lake is a sight to
behold.
Naina Peak (6 kms from Nainital): Popular picnic
spot at a height of 2610 metres. Breathtaking view of the Himalayas and
entire lake region.
Laria Kanta (6 kms from Nainital) : Picnic spot at
an altitude of 2482 metre. affords panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Hanuman Garhi (3.2 kms from Nainital): Pilgrim site
well known for speactacular sun-set views.
