Betka is an weekend getaway destination from Bhopal
city and also visited by tourist visiting Pachmarhi [
Hill Station] , Bhim Betka is situated in Bhopal
Pachmarhi route ,Its just 45 Kms away from Bhopal and
just an hour’s drive, Bhim Betka is located at south
of Bhopal in the Vindhyan Mountains are the 600 rock
shelters . Bhim Betka is a peaceful and beautiful area
and the natural rock formations – massive sandstone
outcrops – must once have been a great place for Stone
Age people to live in. People say that great Pandava
had their stay here during Vanvas.
Bhim betka is a beautiful area to wander around for an
hour or two and definitely not a crowded site.
Entrance fee charged is Rs 50 per vehicle and Rs.10
per adult, Bimbetka is definitely worth a couple of
hour’s excursion .
