(formerly Jungle Resort) is a complete eco-friendly
resort located right next to the beautiful Beach No. 7
(Radhanagar Beach) - the most beautiful & popular
beach in Havelock Island (Andaman and Nicobar Island).

Nov 2004).
Barefoot at Havelock, the Andaman Islands’ only
eco-hideaway set in rainforest and tropical fruit
trees behind a pristine 2 km white-sand stretch of the
quirkily named Beach No. 7 at Havelock Island.
It offers 18 cottages for accommodation with
facilities like attached bath with 24 hrs H/C running
water etc.

designed cottages that are hidden among 7 acres of
grounds, their hardwood walls and conical thatch roofs
blending into the tropical foliage. You get basic
comforts (modern plumbing, air-con or ceiling fans).
The barefoot philosophy means a minimal footprint, so
only indigenous materials are used, rainwater is
harvested, most staff are local.

Some things to prepare for
before you arrive at Barefoot Resort :
Nocturnal forest sounds can be irritating, if you are
a light sleeper and staying in a Nicobari Cottage
On occasion, the air-conditioning in the Andaman
Villas can be erratic due to voltage fluctuations, but
any disruption will be commensurately compensated.
Due to Tropical Climate, Activities cannot be
pre-booked and are typically planned only one day in
advance.
Expect the occasional shower even in the dry season;
conversely, you could have glorious sunshine during
the wet season.
Andaman Islands, gives a clean environment, greenery &
unpolluted fresh air attract all nature lovers, beach
divers and scuba divers. Andaman Islands are visited
as a standalone destination for regular Tourists,
Scuba Divers.

CHILD & INFANT POLICY
Infants and children below the age of 5 years will be
complimentary on the adult meal plan without any extra
bed. If an extra bed is required, then the above child
rates apply.
Children between 5 – 12 years will be charged as per
the child rates.
Children above 12 years or third adult will be charged
as per extra adult rates.
ROOM OCCUPANCY POLICY:
Cottages & Villas: Max. 3 adults (or) 2 adults + 2
children. Max. 1 extra bed.
Duplex: Max. 6 adults (or) 4 adults + 4 children.
Maximum 2 extra beds.
FOOD :-
All meals will be served at the main restaurant.
Guests can choose from either fixed price meals or
order from a selected menu.
Fixed price meals are a choice of Indian vegetarian or
non-vegetarian thali (plated meal).
Menu choices range from European, Indian, and seafood
specials.
Check In Check Out time & Day Use Room
Check-in and check-out is 0900 hrs. Early check-in &
late check-out subject to availability.
Guaranteed day use between 0900 hrs – 1600 hrs will be
charged at 50% of published tariff, subject to
availability. Guaranteed late check-out beyond 1600
hrs will be charged one nights’ room rate
PORT BLAIR AIRPORT – RESORT
TRANSFERS – CAR & BOAT
Round-trip Airport - Resort transfers using Govt.
ferry: US$40 /INR 1800 per person with 2 persons
sharing. Single traveller – US$ 60 / INR 2700 per
person. (When using Govt. ferry, a 1-night stay in
Port Blair on your return from Havelock is mandatory,
as Havelock-Port Blair ferries do not connect with
departing flights on the same day)
Direct same-day Airport – Resort transfers using
full-charter of powered dunghi (dugout): US$ 150 / INR
6,500 one-way; US$ 300/ INR 13,000 round-trip. Maximum
6 persons. (Dunghi transfer recommended only for
intrepid travelers. Not suitable for senior citizens,
guests with disabilities or motion sickness problems,
or for young children and infants)
Direct same-day Airport – Resort transfers using
full-charter of private boat: US$ 300 /13,000 one-way;
US$ 600 / INR 27,000 round-trip. Maximum 12 persons.
All ferry, boat and dunghi transfers subject to
weather conditions, sea conditions, sailing permits,
Department of Shipping schedules.
All road transfers will be by non-air conditioned
vehicles.
PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION
POLICY :-
For cancellations received 30 days or more 100%
refund; 7 days or more 50% refund; less than 7 days in
advance of arrival no refund
No refund for cancellations on bookings from 20 Dec 07
¨10 Jan 08.
No refunds for unused nights or early check-out.
In case of cancellation of Govt. ferry service, the
following is offered: . Port Blair - Havelock:
Equivalent hotel in Port Blair in lieu of 1st night at
resort. Havelock - Port Blair: 50% discount on
room-rate only at resort. |
