Palanpur Palace was
constructed more than a century ago by Nawab Sher Mohammed Khan of
Palanpur state. Later his son Nawab Taley Mohammed Khan took keen
interest and further furnished it to make it an ideal summer Palace. The
present Iqabal Mohammmed Khan provided more glory and glamour to this
palace, to stand out amongst other palaces. It was Nawab Taley Mohammed
Khan, who had the noble idea of converting a part of this Palace from
1923 to 1936 for Hotel purpose. It was named "MOUNT HOTEL" and later an
Englishman named it as "Hotel Skeltania".
Now Palanpur Palace is Heritage Hotel. It keeps alive
the tradition and culture of princely states and adding all modern
amenities in English style. It is one almost every nook and corner of
the hill station, the surrounding peaks, lakes and valleys. It enjoys
the cool misty air, fog breathtaking panorama of the scenic beauty.
Palanpur Palace has 51 rooms of which 8 are
beautifully designed and traditionally decorated suites, and 43 are
Air-conditioned (AC) double rooms, furnished in a blend of old and new
decor, comfortable and homely, just as you would expect.

touch of class and tradition knitted with modern amenities and luxuries,

Deewan 'E' Khas
The Conference hall boasts of being the largest in the
town and can accommodate up to 400 persons in theater type arrangement.
The deep blue wall to wall carpet keeps one's mind cool & fresh.
When the darkness creeps the hill station the lighted
palace is just the right choice to step in.
These temples were built were built between the 11th
and 13th centuries and dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras (saints) and
are famous for rich intricate unique white marble carvings. These
temples are master-pieces of marble sculpture, especially the Vimal
Visahi and the Tejpal Temples.
