Malaysia's Seasons
The country is generally warm throughout the year with
temperatures ranging from 21° to 32° Celsius in the
lowlands. This can however be as low as 16° Celsius in the
highlands. Annual rainfall is heavy at 2,500mm (100 inches).
On a rainy day, thunder and lightning often accompany the
heavy downpour which normally lasts for about an hour or
two. The high humidity level at 80% throughout the year
favours light and sweat-absorbent material like cotton for
daily dressing.
Best Time to Visit:
The most popular time to visit is from the middle of
September to the end of February, when the weather is
cooler. At its coolest (mid-December to February), the
temperature may fall to 10oC (50oF); at its warmest (late
May to mid-September), it averages 28oC (82oF) but may reach
33oC (91oF)..

possession of valid passport or travel document with a
minimum validity of six months beyond the intended visiting
