Dalhousie

Dalhousie is lovely hill station located in between of Pirpanjal & Dhauladhar ranges, Dalhouise is a cantonment area and situated in Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh India, Lord Dalhousie has founded Dalhousie in british period in year 1854, Dalhousie is cool & quiet town located at east of Ravi river. The hill station Dalhousie is spreads over five low-level hills at the western edge of the Dhauladhar range, located at east of the Ravi River . There are many hotels & resorts available for accommodation for Budget travellers to Deluxe, and luxury accommodation seekers.

Sight Seeing Places : Dalhousie

There are so many sight seeing places near Dalhousie as Dalhousie sq kms and known as gatewat of Chamba valley.

Subhash Baoli : Subhash Baoli is situated approx. 1.5 Kms from G.P.O. Square , It has beautiful view of snow capped mountains.

Kalatope : Kalatope is situated at 5 Kms from Dalhousie & 10 kms from G.P.O. square, Kalatope has  from Dalhousie, Kalatope  has  panoramic view, It also has a forest rest house  , Kalatope is located at an altitude of 8,000-ft. If you prefer to walk through forested road through upper Nakorota hills, You will  reach Lakkarmandi. The home of dhogri families, Lakkarmandi is located at  8,600 feet height ,Kalatope also has a little sanctuary with  a variety of wildlife such as ibex, deer, bears and leopards.

Dainkund (2745m) : Dainkund is located at an altitude of 2,745 m and 10 km from the town, Dainkund is a tall peak outside town and provides a bird's-eye view on a clear day.

Bara Pathar : Bara Pathar is set amidst thick forest is the small temple of Bhulwani Mata , in the village of Ahla , on the way to Kalatope. A fair is celebrated in July to venerate the goddess. Bara Pathar is 4 km away from the town.

Khajjiar (1951m) : Khajjiar is located ust 27-km from Dhoudar the beautiful little plain of Khajjiar is one of the favourite retreats for visitors. Khajiar has  a lake set in the middle, complete with a floating bland. A little golden temple of lord Khajjinag belonging to the 12th century , Khajiar also has a  golf course .

Dalhousie is located at height of 1,525m to 2,378m high from sea level. The maximum temperature of Dalhousie in summers is Approx 30*C and the winter temperature comes down to almost O*C. Heavy woollens are required in winter and light woollens or tropicals in summer.
